3M Completes Corning Precision Lens Buyout

ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 16 -- 3M announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Corning Precision Lens Inc., manufacturer of lens systems for rear-projection televisions. The Cincinnati-based company becomes a subsidiary of 3M Optical Systems Div. operating under the name 3M Precision Optics Inc.
