LEOMA to Host Executive Seminar
Capitalizing on renewed interest in the nation's science and technology policy, the
Laser and Electro-Optics Manufacturers' Association is planning to host its executive seminar March 15-17.
The seminar will provide an opportunity for executives in the electro-optics field to learn about federal science policy from congressional leaders and then visit their representatives on Capitol Hill. On the agenda is the recent Census Bureau tabulation of lasers manufactured in the US and a global effort to reduce import tariffs on lasers and electro-optics. The 1998 seminar will be held at the Latham Hotel in Washington Georgetown district.
The seminar may include a luncheon featuring James Sensenbrenner, chairman of the House Science Committee.
