Northrop Grumman Buys and Sells
Northrop Grumman Corp. of Los Angeles has acquired Fibersense Technology Corp. from Audax Group for $44 million. A manufacturer of precision fiber optic gyroscopes, inertial measurement units and sensor components, Fibersense will be integrated into Northrop's Navigation Systems Div. in Woodland Hills, Calif.
In a separate transaction, Northrop Grumman has agreed to sell its VEAM/TEC division in Watertown, Conn., to ITT Industries, Cannon, of Santa Ana, Calif. ITT will broaden its offerings of connectors, switches, keypads and dome arrays, and enhance its product design capability for harsh environments with the acquisition of the connector supplier.
