India Telcos to Deploy Corning Fiber

CORNING, N.Y., Feb. 26 -- Corning Inc. announced today that Tata Teleservices Ltd., a leading telecommunications carrier in India, and Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd., India's largest international telephony service provider, will jointly deploy Corning optical fiber along a major portion of their high-speed national, long-distance network.

The fiber optic cable will contain up to 20,000 km of Corning's LEAF fiber and 100,000 km of Corning SMF-28 fiber.
