Actuality Systems Inc., of Burlington, Mass., has announced the first European sale of its Perspecta 3-D System, to the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and the Environment. It will be used for research and development in 3-D imaging of scientific data. The 360-degree spatial display system illuminates 100 million volume pixels, or "voxels." Applications include nuclear medical imaging, radiation treatment and surgery planning, air-traffic control, 3-D games and security screening.

International DisplayWorks (IDW) announced it has a manufacturing agreement to supply approximately $6.4 million worth of electronic modules to a new European customer between May 2003 and July 2004. IDW makes LCDs, modules and assemblies for OEM applications; it has offices in Rocklin, Calif.; Hong Kong; and Shenzhen, China.

Lumenis Ltd., a Yokneam, Israel-based maker of laser and intense pulsed light devices for cosmetic and medical treatments.
