CRL Opto Uses Moxtek Components in Single-Channel Display

To give customers a high-performance single-channel display system, CRL Opto Ltd. of Hayes, UK, has entered into a strategic alliance with Moxtek of Orem, Utah. CRL Opto will provide liquid-crystal-on-silicon microdisplay products, and Moxtek will contribute its ProFlux polarizing beamsplitter and applications. The combined technology is designed to ameliorate the common inability of traditional dye-type-absorbing polarizers to survive high light flux. Users will be able to work to f/1.8, achieving greater throughput without a trade-off in contrast.
