Raytheon Co. has appointed
Biggs C. Porter as vice president and corporate controller, effective May 21. Formerly the corporate controller for TXU Corp., Biggs succeeds Edward Pliner, who was appointed a senior vice president and CFO of Raytheon in December.
. . . TRONIC'S Microsystems, a developer of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) for high-end applications, announced it has opened a new MEMS production facility in Crolles, France. A new cleanroom is expected to be completed by July and capable of full-volume production by the end of the year. The MEMS Industry Group (MIG), a trade association representing the MEMS and microstructures industries.
Cleopatra Cabuz, director of global technology for Honeywell's sensors lab, has been named executive director of MIG. She will retain her position at Honeywell.
