Z/I Imaging Corp., an Intergraph company, announced that 3001 Inc. has purchased its digital mapping camera (DMC) system. 3001 offers consulting, GIS, remote sensing, digital photogrammetry and surveying services to the government and the private sector and is a National Imagery and Mapping Agency Global Geospatial Intelligence contractor. The DMC system uses a modular design based on charge-coupled device (CCD) matrix (frame) sensors; it comprises eight synchronously operating CCD cameras: Four parallel cameras generate multispectral imagery for the acquisition of color composites, and four converging panchromatic cameras acquire imagery to form a single high-resolution image.   . . .   Elbit Systems Ltd. has received the 2002 Chamber Award from the Israel-America Chamber of Commerce & Industry, presented to companies that distinguish themselves in investment and trade between Israel and the US. Elbit Systems, based in Haifa, Israel, develops technology for the defense industry, including aerospace, ground and naval systems, command, control, communications, computers and intelligence and advanced electro-optics.   . . .   Oscilloscope manufacturer Tektronix Inc. announced that China's Ministry of Education purchased more than 1200 oscilloscopes in November for 24 universities in 15 cities in China, using a loan from the World Bank's Higher Education Development Project. They will be shipped this year.
