Flat-panel display market research and consulting firm DisplaySearch has released its 300-page customer satisfaction report, "TFT LCD Manufacturers," in which buyers representing 60 percent of large-area display purchases rated flat-panel suppliers on quality, technology, logistics, service and support and commercial terms. Schoettler, PhD, has been named chairman of the board, succeeding Morgan Nields. Schoettler has been a member of Fischer's board since January 2003 and has served as the chair of its corporate governance committee. She was recently named president and CEO of SenoLase Inc., a majority-owned Fischer subsidiary formed to develop a breast tumor ablation technology. Nields will continue as a member of the Fischer board and will be CTO of Fischer Imaging. Roman Janer, the current CTO, will continue as senior vice president of research and development. . . .
