Alpine Research Optics, of Boulder, Colo., announced it has appointed Indeco, of Tokyo, as the Japanese representative for its line of high-performance optics for the ultraviolet, visible and near-infrared ranges. . . . Analogic Corp. was named Company of the Year in The Boston Globe's fifteenth annual edition of The Globe 100, ranking the best-performing publicly held companies based in Massachusetts. Bernard M. Gordon, founder, chairman and CEO of Analogic, said, "This recognition was earned by the extraordinary efforts of our employees, who are engaged in a broad spectrum of activity, from developing the world's most advanced explosive detection systems to high-performance digital radiography and computed tomography systems for niche medical applications." . . . OmniVision Technologies Inc., a supplier of CMOS CameraChip solutions for high-volume imaging applications, has appointed Michael D. Angel as vice president of finance and CFO. He succeeds H. Gene McCown, who will retire. McCown will remain with the company as senior financial advisor during the transition. . . . Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) manufacturer Innovative Micro Technology has appointed Amir (Andy) R. Mirza as a project manager with its technical staff. Mirza was formerly director of advanced technologies for GE NovaSensor, where he was responsible for research and development in MEMS design and process development.
