APCON Makes $3.7 Million Sale to IBM Global Services

PORTLAND, Ore., June 30 -- APCON Inc., a provider of network solutions and intelligent physical layer switches for fiber channel, Ethernet and SONET, announced it has made a $3.7 million sale of products and service to IBM Global Services for use in a test-lab network it is installing for a New York-based financial services customer.

The sale includes IntellaPatch physical layer switches for use in a complex multitiered test-lab network. APCON products will be used to automate the test network and enable "on the fly" reconfiguration, integrating both Gigabit Ethernet and SONET technologies running at various data rates.
