CMC Electronics Cincinnati of Mason, Ohio, will supply megapixel IR detector assemblies for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter aircraft under a contract with the Baltimore-based Northrop Grumman Corp.'s Electronic Systems sector. The assemblies will be used in the electro-optical distributed aperture system suite of six sensors, which will provide 24-hour imaging capability in most weather conditions and full spherical coverage around the aircraft for missile threat warning, navigation and situational awareness.
