DALSA Corp. announced it has partnered with Pleora Technologies Inc., of Ottawa, Ontario, to deliver new connectivity products based on Gigabit Ethernet technology. DALSA said The new products will allow DALSA cameras to exchange imaging and control data with PCs over high-speed, economical, long-distance Gigabit Ethernet links. Pleora has developed custom Gigabit Ethernet connectivity engines for DALSA’s Vision for Machines digital imaging cameras. DALSA will offer the products under the DALSA NetLink brand.. . .Somerset, N.J.-based Light Age Inc., which makes tunable solid-state alexandrite lasers for scientific, medical and industrial applications, has moved to a larger facility equipped with laboratories that will enable it to pursue new business in the semi-conductor inspection, biomedical and medical laser markets. The company is now located at 500 Apgar Road in Somerset.. . .Essex Corp., of Columbia, Md., announced it has been awarded a total of $1.8 million for several projects in signal and radar image processing from the US Department of Defense. The awards include $1 million in additional funding for existing contracts and a new three-year contract.
