Princeton Lightwave (PLI), a Cranbury, N.J., maker of near-infrared high-power lasers and application-specific detectors for communications, instrumentation and defense applications, has appointed three new senior executives. Alka Swanson was appointed executive vice president of the company, in charge of sales, marketing and business development. Swanson was previously a general manager in the JDS Uniphase EPITAXX division. Sabbir Rangwala is the new vice president of products and operations and Mark Itzler has joined PLI as CTO.
