Photonic Products Group Buys Laser Optics
Photonic Products Group Inc. of Northvale, N.J., has purchased the assets and certain liabilities of Laser Optics Inc. of Bethel, Conn., for an undisclosed amount in a cash transaction. It will merge Laser Optics with its Inrad custom optics and thin-film services businesses while retaining the company's work force, including Philip Heinrich, founder and president, and James Larin, general manager. According to Dan Lehrfeld, president and CEO of Photonic Products, the acquired company's expertise in thin films, laser optics and spherical components will complement Inrad's thin-film coatings, and laser, polarizing and plano-plano optics. The new business will be known as Laser Optics, a PPGI company, and will be housed in an expanded facility in Northvale.
