Companies Partner to Provide Ethernet Connectivity Products
Under a collaborative agreement to provide Gigabit Ethernet connectivity products for industrial vision markets, Pleora Technologies of Kanata, Ontario, Canada, will furnish Basler AG of Ahrensburg, Germany, with equipment that extends the cable length between industrial digital cameras and personal computers. It will enable image data generated by Camera Link cameras to be transported in real time to computers over standard Ethernet connections, which reach up to 100 m, 10 times farther than Camera Link cables. Basler is marketing the equipment under the "giga-Bic" brand. The agreement improves Pleora's access to Basler's industrial vision markets, especially in European manufacturing centers.
