IR Measurement and Spectroscopy Companies Collaborate
Three companies have allied to formulate, design and manufacture compact, cost-effective infrared measurement instruments for applications-specific spectroscopy. Contributing to the effort is IR Microsystems of Lausanne, Switzerland, a manufacturer of uncooled pyroelectric µray detector arrays. The recently merged Wilks Enterprise Inc. of South Norwalk, Conn., and Optical Coating Corp. of Natick, Mass., will also lend their expertise to the alliance, which will focus on developing products for process analytical technologies for its members. Wilks manufactures analytical instruments for on-site analyses, and Optical Coating produces thin-film optical coatings for use in the visible and near- and far-IR wavelength ranges.
