Optics Company Provides Scholarships
Rolyn Optics Co. of Covina, Calif., has awarded scholarships to three doctoral students in optical sciences, according to an announcement from Richard L. Shoemaker, associate director of the Optical Sciences Center at the University of Arizona in Tucson. John Ross, president of Rolyn, has bestowed the spring 2004 awards on teaching assistants Karlton Crabtree, Chao-Wen Liang and Elaine Ulrich, who were selected by a panel of professors based on their academic records and leadership in research and teaching.
This marks the eighth year of the program.
