Applied Image and Sine Patterns Enter Agreement

With the signing of an exclusive worldwide distribution agreement, Applied Image Inc. of Rochester, N.Y., has added Sine Patterns LLC to the Applied Image Group companies, which collectively supply test targets, bar-code standards, microscopy and vision calibration, ball lenses and micro-optics, digital camera and plastic optics, and engineered lighting, thin-film and fuel cell coatings.

Founder and managing member of Sine Patterns, Robert Lamberts, will continue to oversee research and development as well as the manufacture of sinusoidal targets. With the addition of the Pittsford, N.Y., company's sinusoidal products and mask making services, Applied Image Group expects to move closer to its goal of being a single-source optics provider.
