Cadence Renovates Lab in Prague
SAN JOSE, Calif. & PRAGUE, Czech Republic, Sept. 17 -- Cadence Design Systems Inc., a San Jose, Calif.-based supplier of electronic design technologies and engineering services, announced it has completed renovating the electronic design automation laboratory at Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic, with the aim of developing engineering talent for the Czech electronics industry.
Cadence said the laboratory will help hundreds of students learn how to design today's complex chips with advanced design tools.
The project is part of Cadence's University Partner Program and is supported by the Ministry of Education.
Guillaume d'Eyssautier, a senior vice president at Cadence, will join business and education leaders and the press in a dedication ceremony today at the lab.
Andrea Vondrakova, spokesperson at Czech Technical University, said, "This facility marks an important step in the evolution of the electronic engineering courses offered by our university. Cadence is supporting the development of next-generation engineering skills not just for the Czech Republic, but for the electronics industry worldwide."
