StockerYale Inc., a Salem, N.H., provider of photonics-based products, announced today it has signed a mutual agreement with Mitsubishi Cable Industries of Japan. Mitsubishi will distribute StockerYale's specialty optical fiber products in Japan under the Mitsubishi brand name, and StockerYale will distribute Mitsubishi specialty optical fiber products in the US under the StockerYale brand name. The fiber will be used for applications including telecommunications, sensors and laser delivery systems. StockerYale said it will also develop specialty optical fiber products for Mitsubishi, for which it has already received orders.
