Bookham Technology Divests JCA Technology
As part of a strategy to focus on its core optical business, Bookham Technology plc has sold JCA Technology Inc. of San Jose to Endwave Corp. of Sunnyvale, both in California, for $6 million. A supplier of radio-frequency amplifiers for defense applications, JCA was acquired by the Abingdon, UK, company through the purchase of New Focus Inc. in 2004. Bookham announced in May that it planned to implement cost-reduction measures.
