Semrock Supplies Filters to Carl Zeiss
Carl Zeiss AG, based in Oberkochen, Germany, has selected Semrock Inc. to supply fluorescence filters to its light microscopy division, based in Göttingen, Germany. Customized to Zeiss' specifications, the optical filters are based on Semrock's BrightLine hard-coated filter technology.
The Rochester, N.Y., company says that the filters provide high transmission rates, steep edges and quality blocking. Their integration into Zeiss' light microscopes is expected to reduce exposure times and improve sample protection.
