Microvision Inc. announced the US Army Reserve has purchased 37 units of its commercial Nomad Expert Technician System for use in US-based Army Reserve maintenance facilities. The system implementation is planned to take place in more than 10 locations and has the potential for follow-on orders.    . . .    Stephen Chou, a professor of engineering and electrical engineering and head of the NanoStructures Laboratory at Princeton University, will receive the 2004 Cledo Brunetti Award from the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) for his invention of groundbreaking techniques in nanotechnology, in particular for his invention and development of nanoimprint lithography, a high-speed, low-cost technique for creating structures measured in the billionths of meters. The approach could be used in a wide variety of applications involving computer chips, memory and telecommunications devices. The award will be presented tomorrow during the 2004 IEEE International Electron Devices Meeting, being held this week in San Francisco.
