ITT Industries Wins $16 M Contract
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., Dec. 28 -- ITT Industries Inc. has received a contract with a potential value of $16 million to provide submersible AN/PVS-14 monocular night-vision goggles (NVGs) and associated line items to Naval Special Warfare personnel.
The Navy will use the goggles for shipboard security, precision firing of weapons, navigation and small-boat tactics. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, in Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity. The work is scheduled to be completed by September 2009.
ITT Industries Night Vision, based in Roanoke, Va., is a developer of Generation 3 image intensifier technology for US and allied military forces and for federal, state and local law enforcement. ITT Industries supplies advanced technology products and services in markets including fluid and water management, defense communication, optoelectronics, information technology, electronic interconnects and switches and other specialty products.
