Vertilas and Thorlabs Cooperate
Vertilas GmbH of Garching, Germany, will present its long-wavelength surface-emitting laser diodes in the catalog of Thorlabs, a company based in Karlsfeld, Germany, and in other countries. The publication consists of roughly 10,000 products for optical and photonics users in R&D.
As a result of the cooperative agreement, Vertilas will have the opportunity to expand sales worldwide, particularly in Asia and in North and South America. In turn, the company's line of laser diodes, which cover wavelengths from 1300 to 2050 nm, will enable Thorlabs to enter new application areas such as sensor engineering.
