Cree Inc. has entered into a patent cross-license agreement with Nichia Corp. relating to LED technology for solid-state white lighting. The new agreement complements a patent cross-license arrangement the companies announced in November 2002. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. . . . LightPath Technologies Inc., an Orlando, Fla., maker of precision molded aspheric optics, Gradium glass products and fiber-optic collimators and isolators, has announced the election of Sohail Khan, executive vice president and chief strategy and development officer, to its board of directors, effective immediately. . . . NuSil Technology, a Carpinteria, Calif.-based manufacturer of silicone-based materials for healthcare, aerospace, electronics and photonics, announced it has expanded its distribution resources in Europe and the Middle East by adding two new representatives to support all of NuSil's product lines: New Tech in Vignola, Italy, and Tech-Knowledge in Tel Aviv, Israel.
