QImaging, a Burnaby, British Columbia, maker of high-performance IEEE-1394 digital cameras for life science, machine vision and OEM applications, and
Roper Scientific Inc. have signed an exclusive worldwide distribution agreement with
Cambridge Research & Instrumentation Inc. for its line of CRI MicroColor 2 RGB filters. Two of the filters were designed for use with QImaging's high-resolution monochrome CCD cameras; one uses a slider that fits into the nosepiece of Olympus BX and IX microscopes, and the other features a slider designed for the analyzer slot of Zeiss Axioplan microscopes (or similar Zeiss models). The sliders allow users to change quickly between full-color imaging and high-sensitivity monochrome imaging without refocusing.
