Agilent Technologies Inc. and Bruker Daltonics Inc., an operating company of Bruker BioSciences Corp., today announced a multiyear extension of their ion trap mass spectrometry (ITMS) collaboration and liquid chromatography/capillary electrophoresis (LC/CE OEM) agreements. The ITMS agreement extends the companies' ion trap development cooperation, supply of mass spectrometry parts and components from Agilent to Bruker Daltonics and manufacturing by Bruker of their respective ion trap mass spectrometry product lines, facilitates the introduction of their ion trap HCT Ultra and XCT Ultra mass spectrometers and other existing terms and enables Bruker to continue incorporating Agilent's atmospheric pressure ionization sources into its mass spectrometry products. The extended LC/CE OEM agreement provides for Bruker's ongoing distribution of Agilent separation products, including the Agilent 1100 Series liquid chromatograph and capillary electrophoresis equipment. Bruker may also now offer Agilent's HPLC-Chip/MS products with its compatible ITMS and FTMS products. Agilent also announced it has introduced eArray 3.0, a free, online tool for designing custom microarrays used in drug discovery, disease studies and basic research. For more information, visit: earray.chem.agilent.com    . . .    Photron USA Inc., a San Diego supplier of high-speed imagers, announced that cinematographer David Adermann received an Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS) award for slow-motion video footage of water droplets captured with the Photron APX 120 KC slow-motion video camera. His digital video was used in a station promotion for SBS Television Network in Australia. The three-day shoot involved numerous water tanks, ink jet, water jets, water pumps and water filters to keep the water clear; the resulting images, shot at 2000 frames per second won the society's Gold Award in the experimental and specialized category.
