Jenoptik Diode Lab to Construct Plant
Jenoptik Diode Lab GmbH of Berlin plans to construct a local facility for the production of optoelectronic semiconductor components, with particular focus on semiconductor materials for diode lasers. Covering a total of 1800 sq m, the complex will house offices, R&D laboratories and the production of 3-in. GaAs wafers. It will include 500 sq m of cleanrooms to support the production of semiconductor laser diode chips. Construction of the plant is scheduled to begin this spring. The project is expected to result in 40 new positions.
