LIGHT SOURCE SITE

The Light Source Communicators Group, which consists of member light source facilities in Asia, Europe and North America, has launched a Web site devoted to accelerator-driven light sources (synchrotrons and free-electron lasers) and related science. Targeted to the media, the general public and the scientific community, the portal provides news releases on applications of the sources, which are advancing research in fields such as medicine, agriculture, forensics, engineering and materials fabrication. Visitors can find articles, technical publications, conference information, an image bank and links to facility Web sites. They also can sign up to receive free e-mail news updates.
