SPECTRA DATABASES

John Wiley & Sons Inc. has added SpecInfo, a collection of more than 434,000 spectra, to its Wiley InterScience online publishing platform. The spectroscopy management software system is for viewing, predicting and searching spectra and includes collections of infrared, mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance spectra. The infrared databases consist mainly of two groups, the polymers and the organic compounds and surfactants, which include near-infrared spectra. The data is quality controlled at point of entry and is drawn from reputable laboratories and peer-reviewed literature, according to the company. Those interested may request a free trial or quotation.
