A full-color corporate capabilities brochure from Schott AG titled “Industrial fiber optic components and LED solutions: Lighting, Sensing, Imaging,” begins with a discussion of the physical principles and properties of optical fibers. The 23-page publication continues with a description of the company’s expertise in the manufacture and design of lightguides, covering such areas as materials, fiber types, mechanical protection, fiber arrangement and end termination. The physical principles of LEDs, the manufacture and design of image guides and a variety of applications for Schott’s products also are presented.
