OmniVision Acquires CDM Optics

OmniVision Technologies Inc. of Sunnyvale, Calif., has acquired the privately held CDM Optics Inc. for $10 million in cash and approximately 515,000 shares of OmniVision common stock. Now a wholly owned subsidiary, CDM will remain at its site in Boulder, Colo. It is the exclusive licensee of the Wavefront Coding technology, which increases an imaging system's depth of field and corrects optical aberrations within an image.
