Evatec Buys Box Coater Evaporation Business

Evatec NA Inc. of Manchester, N.H., has acquired the box coater evaporation business of Unaxis (formerly Balzers) of Pfäffikon, Switzerland, and will support that company's approximately 200 installed systems in North America. The US company was established by PVD Technology, also of Manchester, and Evatec Ltd. of Lums, Switzerland, both of which have supported the BAK/BAP evaporation systems for several years.

Evatec NA will remain associated with the Evatec supply chain of 20 companies in Switzerland and with a global network of businesses representing the BAK systems. While maintaining an inventory of new and exchange parts, it has the capacity to engineer customized systems and can provide field service and retrofits. Its support team consists of former Balzers employees who are familiar with the systems.
