KEENE, N.H., Aug. 2 -- Precision optics maker Janos Technology dedicated its new 40,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Keene, N.H., where it has moved from Townshend, Vt., at a ribbon-cutting Thursday presided over by New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch.

Janos, which has 85 employees, converted an existing warehouse in the Blackbrook Industrial Park and added a second story to the building. Its parent company, the Monroe Group of Oakbrook, Ill., invested $10 million in the project. Janos has permits for a 17,000-square-foot addition to the new plant.
The facility features an open, modular workstation setup and an inline metrology system that Janos said enables maximum flexibility. It also has class 1000 cleanrooms and class 100 manufacturing areas.
