Quintessence Photonics Wins Contract

Quintessence Photonics Corp. of Sylmar, Calif., has received development and multiyear production contracts for high brightness, direct diode, target designation lasers from a defense customer. The company will employ its BrightLase semiconductor laser technology in fulfilling the order.

In other news, Quintessence has selected AMS Technologies AG of Martinsried, Germany, to distribute its products in that country.
