MOTION CONTROL
Titled “The World of Nano- and Micropositioning,” the 2005 supplement catalog from PI (Physik Instrumente) LP features a wide variety of precision motion control products, including piezomotor controllers, compact scanning stages for imaging applications, and piezo-driven low-profile nanopositioning stages for scanning microscopy. Ultrasonic linear motor-driven stages and piezo- motors, vacuum-compatible Hexapod six-axis alignment systems, long-travel piezo flexure nanostages (950 μm) and low-cost, general-purpose multiaxis nanopositioning systems also are described. The items have applications in such areas as biotechnology and semiconductor test and metrology. The document includes drawings, specifications and a tutorial on the principles of piezomotors.
