Electronic Sensor Technology Inc., a provider of homeland security solutions based in Newbury Park, Calif., announced that it has been awarded an order valued at more than $3 million from Sound and Optics International Inc., a New Jersey distributor, for the company's zNose, an electronic sensor device that can capture and analyze nearly any odor, fragrance, or chemical vapor within 10 seconds. The devices are expected to be used by United Kingdom-based International Security Systems Ltd. for security applications. Less than 10 days ago the company was awarded a $1.25 million zNose order -- the largest the company had received to date -- from China's Beijing R&D Technology.    . . .    Eastman Kodak Co. has appointed Patrick M. Sheller, currently operations director for the Health Informatics business within Kodak's health group, as the company's first chief compliance officer. Sheller will be responsible for ensuring that Kodak's compliance programs and policies meet legal, regulatory and ethical standards.    . . .    Konica Minolta Photo Imaging USA Inc., with headquarters in Mahwah, N.J., announced the development of a new interchangeable lens for the Maxxum line of digital and 35-mm single-lens reflex cameras. The tentatively titled Konica Minolta AF 35-mm f/1.4G (D) lens is planned for release in the spring of 2006.
