Radiant Imaging, Nichia Ally for Lighting Design

Radiant Imaging of Duvall, Wash., and Nichia Corp. of Tokyo have partnered to support designers of LED-based lighting systems for applications such as signage, traffic lights, display backlights, and automotive and aviation instrument panels. Radiant Imaging will characterize the output of Nichia's InGaAs LEDs by generating Radiant Source models of them. Nichia will purchase ProSource software licenses from Radiant, along with the rights to resell or redistribute them, together with the Radiant Source models of its products. The models characterize a light source's angular and spatial luminance, while the software allows data analysis and ray generation from the model data files.
