Ifos Acquires Oluma Inc.

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 2 -- Ifos Inc., a developer of advanced optical sensing systems, announced the acquisition of all product lines, facilities, intellectual property and other assets of fiber optics manufacturer Oluma Inc. of Carlsbad, Calif. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Over time, Ifos officials say, the company will integrate Oluma's fiber sensing technology into its pressure- and distributed-temperature sensing products to strengthen its I*Sense optical sensing system platform for use in the medical, security, transportation, oil and gas, civil, aerospace and biochemical industries.
