Zhone Completes Paradyne Acquisition

OAKLAND, Calif., Sept. 6 -- Zhone Technologies Inc., a network equipment manufacturer, announced it has completed the acquisition of telecommunications product manufacturer Paradyne Networks Inc. after the transaction was approved in a vote by the shareholders of both companies.   

According to Zhone, with employees in 21 countries, the company now has a customer base that includes network service providers representing more than 400 existing carrier and cable operators on six continents.
