Aspectrics Inc. has published a six-page brochure titled “Chemical Analysis in the Real World,” detailing the benefits and features of its encoded photometric infrared spectroscopy analyzer when it is used outside the laboratory. A description of the instrument’s operation is provided, along with specifications and comparisons to the Fourier transform and nondispersive IR technologies used in many process monitoring and control instruments. The document suggests that the technology is suitable for integration into OEM instruments for applications such as monitoring food and agricultural production processes and testing for trace contaminants in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
