MOTION CONTROL
The “2005 Integrated Servo Products” catalog from Animatics Corp. presents servos built on conventional servomotor platforms and on fully commutated “servoed” step motor platforms. It describes the new high-pole-count servos, which offer strong low-speed torque and which can replace a servo and gearhead combination. Among other new items are cables, interface devices and the RTC-4000 stand-alone servo controller. Featured is the JenCNC computer numerical control software, which combines the functions of CAD/CAM and motion-control software into a graphical user interface for controlling the company’s SmartMotors in 3-D coordinated motion.
