OSHA and LIA Ally for Laser Safety
The Washington-based Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Laser Institute of America of Orlando, Fla., have joined forces to provide access to safety and health training to those working in industrial and medical environments. The OSHA Alliance will work to develop programs for the agency’s staff and for personnel who use lasers in the workplace. It will provide laser-related training courses, and share information on the bioeffects of lasers, laser control measures and laser safety program administration.
