Companies Partner for Mini Technology
New Scale Technologies Inc. of Victor, and Infotonics Technology Center Inc. of Canandaigua, both in New York, have partnered to produce prototypes of miniaturized products. The companies will work to integrate New Scale’s piezoelectric Squiggle motor and Infotonics’ microsystem technology into modules for specific commercial markets. Applications include tiny integrated autofocus and optical zoom modules for mobile-phone cameras, and medical devices, such as drug delivery modules and pumps, for microfluidic systems.
