MACHINE VISION

JAI Pulnix Inc. has issued a guide to choosing a suitable machine vision camera from JAI and Pulnix offerings. Downloadable from the company’s Web site or available in hard copy, the four-page “Product Selection Guide” provides information on monochrome and on color progressive- and interlace-scan cameras, including their resolution, dimensions, imager size and frame rate. AccuPixel, Dual-Tap AccuPixel, color 3CCD line-scan, and UV and near-IR models are described. The document notes that the joint product lines of the companies support both analog and digital interfaces, including Camera Link and Gigabit Ethernet. Typical camera applications, including continuous web and flat panel display inspection, are discussed.
