Riber, a French maker of molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) machines, said it has received an order for an MBE 6000 to be delivered and invoiced before the end of this year. MBE machines enable the manufacture of compound semiconductor materials that are used in applications such as wireless telecommunications, fiber optic networks and consumer products. Riber said its MBE 6000 is capable of simultaneously processing four 150-mm wafers using the same technical platform as its MBE 49 and MBE 7000 models.

Gregory Graves and
John Willinge to its board of directors. Graves is senior vice president, strategic planning and business development, at Entegris. Willinge is the founder of Alverstoke Capital Group LLC, an investment management firm based in New York.
