OPTICAL SUPPLIES

CVI Laser LLC has launched its 2006 “Optical Components and Assemblies” catalog, which features a “build your own optic” ordering system, enabling engineers to specify the wavelength, substrate and size required for their application. As reflected in the publication, the company has raised the laser damage threshold for its 10-5 surface quality BK 7 and fused silica lenses and windows to more than 15 J/cm2 and similarly increased the threshold on its SF11 components, including laser mirrors, singlet and multielement lenses, turning and dispersing prisms, and plate and cube beamsplitters. The number of components in 25- and 50-mm sizes also has been increased.
