Alan Burrill as its new sales representative in Illinois and Missouri. Burrill, of Alan Burrill Technical Sales, is a 15-year veteran of the vacuum technology industry.

JDSU board of directors and its audit committee. Before joining Openwave Systems, Covert held positions as CFO at Fortinet, Extreme Networks, Silicon Graphics and Adobe Systems; previously, he held senior financial management positions at Northern Telecom.

PerkinElmer Inc. Geist was formerly director and senior research analyst at Robert W. Baird; he previously worked in medical research, specializing in infectious diseases.
